William Richey Jewelry

Striving for simplicity of design and a clean, pure line, William Richey strips away extraneous elements to arrive at what he considers to be design’s purest William Richey forms. One look at the striking shapes, colors and play of light on his work is all it takes to realize that, in essence, the jewelry of Wm. Richey Designs is architecture intended to be worn.

Originally from the Northern Pacific Coast, William and Marlene Richey set up their jewelry design studio in one of the most historical ports on the opposite coast, the Northern Atlantic. Now at home in Portland, Maine, the Richeys excel at producing work of exceptional quality and distinctive design using old world craftsmanship to create their cutting-edge designs. As always, each individually produced piece reflects William Richey’s personal reductive design philosophy to arrive at a final design that is pure.

Working primarily in 18k white or yellow gold and platinum with flush-set and channel-set diamonds and the finest gem-quality pearls, his remarkable collections have been the recipient of numerous design awards including seven AGTA Spectrum Awards for excellence in creating jewelry with colored stone.

The Structures collection for men consists of 18k white gold link bracelet with stripes of yellow gold and a single flush-set diamond in each link. Matching cufflinks and studs repeat the elegant design. The Profiles collection, available in 18k white or yellow gold with a brushed or bright finish, was designed to be viewed as tiny pieces of sculpture. The ring design features a flat bottom that both provides the wearer with a more comfortable fit and allows the ring to stand upright to be admired for its form. Profiles include a variety of ring and earring designs. And the Contours collection, Richey’s signature design, features a dramatic ring produce in 18k white gold with a yellow gold sleeve, channel-set diamonds down the side with a Tahitian pearl perched on the top.
