11, 1918, the day he founded Mido Watches.
In addition to its traditional collection, Mido produces a line of highly technical watches offering unique benefits. The Mido Sport Chrono is a dynamic and handsome chronograph, water-resistant to 100 meters with a PVD coating (improving wear and abrasion resistance), quartz movement, sapphire crystal, and screwed and engraved steel crown. Introduced in 1934, the Mido Multifort was
the world’s first waterproof, shock-resistant, antimagnetic, automatic wristwatch.
Having been the most popular Mido design through the 1960s, the Multifort was relaunched
in 1998 in celebration of the company’s 80th anniversary. Today’s rendition of
this old favorite combines an Arabic dial, reminiscent of the 1940s, with the latest in
autoquartz technology.
