Originally from Edmonton, Alberta,
Canada, Catherine Iskiw graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in
interior design. For ten years, she designed corporate interiors before turning to jewelry
design as a more personal means of expression. This led her to study at the Fashion
Institute of Technology and Parsons School of Design in New York City, where she now
maintains her studio. A two-time De Beers Diamonds Today award winner, Catherine has been accepted into the newly formed International Jewelry Design Guild, an association which aims to bring clarity to the term "designer jewelry" and promote design as one of the most important elements intrinsic to the value of fine jewelry. Working in luxurious platinum, 18k gold, diamonds, colored gemstones and pearls, Catherine Iskiw creates jewelry that expresses a purely modern aesthetic. Understated and elegant, her designs have an architectural, yet feminine feel. |
