Festina, the cyclists watch, has finally come to America. Festina is the
official timekeeper of the Tour de France and the Giro dItalia, and owner of the
Festina Pro
Cycling Team, which won the Tour de France in 1994 and 1996, and was ranked
second in the world in 1997. Festina watches are now available in the United States, and
the brand is already on the fast track with racing events.Festina is among the fastest growing watch lines in Europe, and is the best selling watch in its country of origin, Spain. It didnt start out in Spain, though. Festina was founded in Switzerland in 1902, and has continued to be one of the best selling mid-priced watches in Europe. Festina watches generally feature Japanese quartz movements, and a few special features, such as the Mecaquartz movement, which is a no-battery automatic quartz movement. In addition, a large percentage of Festina watches are sports chronographs including the Internationally advertised Road Warrior series of chronographs. |
