|For decades, men and their speed machines have converged on the salt covered expanse
of earth known as Bonneville for just one reason: to test the limits of machine and man.
This need to exceed serves as the inspiration for the design of Bonneville Watches. Their
designs embody this same pioneering spirit, evident in the two distinctive and strikingly
different collections from Bonneville Watches: Gearbox and the 12.4. 8 Collection.
The Gearbox Collection features a Swiss quartz movement housed in an art deco inspired case, reminiscent of the grill of a classic auto. They also feature a chromium plated stainless steel case, which is curved to fit the contour of the wrist. The Gearbox Collection is water resistant, and is available with a genuine shark skin strap in lengths for both men and women. The Gearbox Collection is limited to a production of 1,500 pieces, and is packaged in a presentation box carved from a solid block of aluminum.
The 12.4.8 Collection is a radical departure from Gearbox. The collection is named for the unique number placement on the dial of the watch, which carries no unnecessary information, and seemingly gives the impression of motion. The "motion ring" on the dial is an exclusive feature to Bonneville, and features clockwise ramping appointments, which give the impression of the hands being in perpetual motion.
The soul of the 12.4.8 is the 25 jewel self-winding Swiss movement, which features a date calendar and chronograph functions. This movement continues the innovation in design, which can be seen through a sapphire crystal on the back of the watch. The "skeleton" back shows the complex movement in detail, with an individually signed and numbered rotor. A solid stainless steel Flying Wing bracelet with center-fold clasp completes the sculpted piece, and complements the modular design.
Just as it is for those who dare to challenge and lead, at Bonneville Watches, the motto is "Exceed Your Personal Best."
