Before starting her own jewelry
design business, Carol Ackerman studied geology at Queen’s University and then
received her Graduate Jeweler  Gemologist diploma from the Gemological Institute of America
in Santa Monica, Calif. Since then, Carol has been working as a designer developing her
own fine jewelry collection. As a designer, Carol strives to create a lasting piece of jewelry that can be worn and enjoyed for a lifetime. By using themes from nature, whether they are plants, flowers or stars, she captures the whimsical and romantic feeling in her designs. By continuing to develop her skills and expand the use of colored gemstones in her pieces, Carol creates jewelry that is reminiscent of the great impressionist painters. Working in 18k gold and platinum, Carol Ackerman crafts beautiful small hoop earrings and small five-petal post earrings in addition to gold and diamond pins, pearl bracelets and mini-square drops with sapphires, rubies and emeralds. |
